For the second consecutive year, «San’at» editors together with «Sharq ayoli» International Public Foundation run the “Nafosat” contest on art-related matters. The contest was open to authors of articles or books telling about women, or written by women.
«San’at» Editorial Board and «Sharq ayoli» Foundation would like to thank all the authors who participated in the contest. Having reviewed their works, a competent jury selected the most worthy. On March 2, 2012, on the eve of the International Women’s Day marked on the 8th of March, the award ceremony took place in the grand hall of the Tashkent State Conservatory. These are the winners’ names:
Ugiloy Mukhamedova (article “Women in Choreography”), nomination “Article about women in art”.
Larissa Levteeva (series of articles about women in the book “The World of Art, or Aspirations of the Soul”), nomination “Book about women in art”.
Mahsura Mirzamuhamedova (article “Interrupted Flight”), nomination “Article on art-related issues and developments authored by a woman”.
Marinika Babanazarova (Nukus) (book “IGOR SAVITSKIY. Artist, Collector and Museum Founder”), nomination “Book on art-related issues authored by a woman”.
In the “Young Talents” category the award went to Nigora Abdullaeva (Termez) for her book “The Lacy Music of Metal”.
