The Result of the "Nafosat-2010" contest

 The Result of the Nafosat-2010 contest In early 2010, “San’at” Journal editors, together with the “Sharq Ayoli” International Public Foundation, invited authors of articles or books about women and women-writers to take part in the “Nafosat” contest dedicated to arts and art-related topics.

The Result of the Nafosat-2010 contest We are grateful to all participants of the contest. Having reviewed their works, the jury selected the worthiest. Awards to the winners were given at a ceremony held on the 19th of March, 2011 in the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. These are the names:

1. Barno Karamatova with her article “LIK Motion Theatre: Art and Mercy” in the nomination “Article about a woman (or women) in art”.

2. Shoira Nurmukhamedova with her book “Problems of Ancient and Medieval Architecture of Central Asia Researched by G. A. Pugachenkova” in the nomination “Book about a woman (or women) in art”.

 The Result of the Nafosat-2010 contest 3. Zhanna Martirosova with her article “Habibullah Rakhimov: The Four Seasons of Tashkent” in the nomination “Article by a woman-author about art-related issues or events”.

4. Surayo Alieva with her book “Glazed Ceramics of Uzbekistan in the IX and Early XXI Centuries” in the nomination “Book by a woman-author about art-related issues or events”.

In the “Young Talents” category the best authors were:

5. Umida Suvonova with her book “Surhondaryo badiy xunarmandchiligi”.

6. Tamara Sinelnikova with her article “Tribute to the Memory of the Composer Suleiman Yudakov (1916-1990)”.

We take the opportunity to congratulate the winners and wish them, as well as all our authors, every success in their art and work, and look forward to their contributions to our magazine.
